“It was important to us that our guests had a taste of the English countryside, and Blenheim Palace’s beautiful Orangery was the perfect canvas for this vision.
Our palette was gold mixed with champagne and blush. Silk rose petals hung from the gold chandeliers and the tables were lined with buttermilk linen.
On the day I wore two wedding dresses – a white gown for the day and a red Vera Wang ballgown for the evening (red is the traditional colour for a Chinese bride).
Our white chocolate, raspberry and lemon cake was lined with sugarcraft lace that matched my daytime wedding dress.
The hardest things to source were the silver ornamental bunnies used as part of the decor. We adore our real pet rabbits and wanted to incorporate them somehow into the day (without bringing them along).
My top tip: If you use a planner, ensure they have your best interests at heart. We rowed with our first planner about which suppliers to use, before finding Isobel from Isobel Weddings, who was fabulous!”
